The symposium focuses on how to effectively communicate science, which is useful for a variety of scientific careers. It is sponsored by the Public Outreach Committee of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and STEM professionals from all career stages will be attending. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to network with other biomedical scientists, practice your communication skills, and participate in interactive science career panels.

Day 1 of the meeting is at the Blue Star Brewery from noon to 9 pm. Attendees will listen to outreach presentations, participate in table activities and discussions, interact with a panel of science outreach professionals, and have dinner with WiseWear CEO Jerry Wilmink.

Day 2 will take place at the UT Health Science Center main campus, at the Lecture Hall right outside the Briscoe Library. Participants will attend career panels for science careers of their choice, browse a career expo featuring science companies, and take part in a networking and poster session.
